In Monrovia, Liberia with NGO SaveLife International: This Ebola Eradication Team (EET) was a community group of mostly young people who set up hand washing stations in very poor communities, where proper information about ebola prevention was often lacking. The EET also developed and distributed pamphlets on ebola prevention/testing and provided training to raise awareness of local people of all ages. As has been reported in media, community groups like the EET were indispensable in helping Liberia to become an “ebola-free” country.
